Ticking the boxes
To become a Harvestnet church planter, there are a few boxes you’ll need to tick to make sure you’re eligible. This ensures we’re on the same page, and gives your potential plant the best start before we’ve even begun. If you miss the mark in some areas, we’ll assist you in becoming eligible. You’ll need to:

A collaborative approach
Our approach is highly flexible, tailored to each individual Pastor and church based on a range of factors, so every plant receives the best outcome. As such, the below points may change depending on your unique circumstances.
Us
Rather than simply giving you advice, we’re proactively involved in the planting journey, coming alongside you as a committed partner. This includes:
A contribution to the startup fund of up to $20K, matched dollar for dollar.
Includes six weeks’ pay contributed by Harvestnet toward the Senior Pastor’s salary.
Bookkeeping support.
Setup of the constitution, bank account(s), and employment contract(s).
A Church Board provided for the first year.
Training by experts in their fields.
Coaching by experienced church planters.
Access to exclusive networking events.
Help with accessing fundraising from other sources
You
Of course, you’ll need to invest in the plant as well. Here’s how you’ll support the process:
Raise finance for the church plant — a minimum of $20K.
Gather a startup congregation of at least 30 adults.
Agree that your church plant will come under the authority of Australian Christian Churches.
Invest 5% of tithes and offerings until the initial contribution has been “paid forward”. Beyond that point, invest 1% to Harvestnet for future church plants.
Be committed to Harvestnet relationally (attending gatherings and promoting unity).
Comply with relevant Harvestnet policies.
“And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God's word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.”
— Luke 8:15
